Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cabig Games handles information for Squarewave, including the Android game, Daily Challenge services, and this website.

Developer and Contact

Squarewave is developed by Cabig Games. Privacy questions, deletion requests, or support requests can be sent to cabiggames@gmail.com.

Information We Collect

Squarewave may process gameplay and progression information such as scores, selected decks, rows survived, shots fired, achievements, unlocks, recent run history, equipped launcher skin, and Daily Challenge results.

For Daily Challenge score submission, Squarewave may use Google Play Games sign-in data such as a server authentication code and game-specific player identifier so the backend can verify that a submission came from a real signed-in player. The Daily Challenge backend may also process score metadata such as score, date, deck, duration, shots fired, rows survived, nonce, app version, platform, client install identifier, and network information such as IP address for fraud prevention, rate limiting, and leaderboard operation.

For optional social features, Squarewave may process your Google Play Games display name, game-specific player identifier, public gameplay stats, friend relationships, blocks, crew membership and roles, crew raid contributions, text-only chat messages, reports, moderation status, and moderation audit logs. Squarewave does not add custom usernames, direct/private messaging, email collection, social chat attachments, voice chat, or social identity based on device identifiers.

If ads, in-app purchases, Google Play Games Services, or Google Play Billing are used, those third-party services may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the game, save progression, unlock achievements and cosmetics, submit and display leaderboard scores, operate optional social features such as profiles, friends, crews, crew raids, global chat, and crew chat, prevent score spoofing and abuse, investigate reports, enforce chat or crew moderation actions, troubleshoot issues, and improve game balance and reliability.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help run Squarewave, such as Google Play Games Services, Google Play Billing, ad mediation or advertising SDKs if enabled, and Netlify or database hosting used for Daily Challenge leaderboards and optional social features. Public leaderboard entries may display a player name, score, rank, date, and deck. Public social surfaces may display a player name, public gameplay stats, crew membership, crew stats, and text chat messages.

Security

Daily Challenge and social backend traffic is sent over HTTPS. Server-side checks are used for Daily Challenge submissions and social writes, including authentication, permission checks, filtering, replay prevention, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is perfect, but reasonable technical measures are used to protect the service.

Retention and Deletion

Local game progress remains on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app. Daily Challenge leaderboard records, public social profiles, crew records, chat messages, reports, and moderation logs may be retained to preserve archive history, social integrity, safety investigations, and abuse prevention. You may request deletion of backend data associated with your player identifier by contacting Cabig Games.

Children

Squarewave is a general-audience arcade game and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Cabig Games so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Squarewave changes. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
